Problem that plagues polyurethane series products

The existence of trace moisture has become a problem that plagues polyurethane series products and metal-rich coatings. Moisture present in typical polyurethane formulations reacts with isocyanate groups to produce ammonia and carbon dioxide, resulting in the formation of air bubbles, which in turn affects product pot life and post-cure smoothness and adhesion, accelerating material aging. In materials based on metal compound formulations, such as coatings rich in zinc and tin, active zinc and tin elements are prone to side reactions with moisture and release hydrogen, which greatly affects product quality. What's more, the paint storage container is prone to overpressure, and may even leak and cause safety accidents.

What is Activated Molecular Sieve Powder ?

Activated Molecular Sieve Powder is obtained by adding pore-forming agent to the original molecular sieve powder and calcining at high temperature (about 700°C). It has strong activity, and can be directly used in production as an adsorbent with selective adsorption, such as mixed dispersion adsorption with materials, and it is an amorphous desiccant. It can adsorb impurities such as moisture that affect the quality of the product without changing the physical and chemical properties of the product itself.
